Terms and Conditions
- The Haunted Investigation Company Ltd ("The Company") have an age restriction of age 18 or over on our events.
- Alcohol and drugs are strictly prohibited on ALL of the events with The Haunted Investigation Company Ltd. Any person or persons found to be in possession of, or believed to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs, will immediately be asked to leave the event by one of The Company's staff members, and The Company will not refund such individuals any part of monies paid for the event. The eviction of such individuals believed to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs due to their behaviour, is at The Company staff's discretion and their decision is final.
- The Company requires our guests to act in a responsible and respectful manner, taking into account the needs of the other guests attending and the requirements of the venue. Guests are to cause no harm, injury, or endangerment to themselves, other guests or The Company's staff. Guests must respect the nature of the event and behave accordingly and due to the hours that the events take place, will be asked to respect the local residents in the vicinity of the venues. Unreasonable behaviour will not be tolerated on any of the events.
- Due to the nature and age of some of our locations, attendance for people with disabilities or long standing health issues may be impracticable. As The Company must ensure that safety is paramount on all events and we value all of our guests, if you have any questions regarding the suitability of a particular event, please seek the advice of your GP and contact us directly on 07860 292897.
- The Company would respectfully ask that heavily pregnant women do not attend our events, for safety and insurance purposes.
- Due to the smoking law within the UK regarding smoking within public places, together with the specific rules of each venue, The Company does not allow smoking or the use of any naked flames at any of the events, including candles and matches. These will not be used by any member of The Company staff or Mediums for any experimental purposes.
- The Company is not liable for any damage or loss to property or equipment either on the way to, during, or on the journey home from an event, including any spiritual damage or damage caused by poltergeist activity.
- Guests attending The Company’s events do so at their own risk. The Company accepts no liability for any accident, incident or injury to our guests however this may be caused. Although The Company holds a valid Public Liability Insurance Policy to the value of £5,000,000. - The Company is not responsible for any equipment, vehicles (including parking fines and clamping) or clothing. All property and effects belonging to the guests are solely the responsibility of the guests and The Company would request that all measures are taken by the guests to protect their property and keep all said articles safe whilst attending The Company’s events.
- Any events cancelled due to circumstances outside of The Company’s control would result in all guests receiving a full refund; however, if an event is rescheduled we may set limitations on the refund. In the unlikely event of this occurring, The Company will contact each guest directly as soon as possible. If it is not possible to contact you prior to each guest undertaking their journey The Company will not refund expenses, these include travel expenses and hotel accommodation.
- If the event incorporates open air investigations The Company reserve the right to move the investigation indoors due to adverse weather conditions. This is rare, and it is our guests’ responsibility to wear the appropriate clothing when investigating outdoors.
- The Company reserves the right to cancel an event due to severe weather conditions and in this occurrence our guests will be given as much notice as possible. If a member of The Company cannot get to the event due to severe weather conditions, The Company reserves the right to deem the event inaccessible and therefore cancel the event. We will endeavour to do this as a very last option and will always work towards an event going ahead as planned.
- Unless advertised on the particular event listing, sleeping arrangements will not be included. The Company suggests due to the hours that the events take place, that guests ensure that they are not too tired to drive home and may consider booking a hotel/B&B nearby prior to the event.
- The Company use responsible mediums and paranormal investigators who may only give their personal opinion on events and these should only be considered whilst deciphering information brought to light by the investigations. It is the guests’ responsibility to make their own decision about experiences on an event and act accordingly to their own personal beliefs and not the beliefs of others. We recognise statements made by The Company’s staff and mediums are their sole opinion and not that of The Company’s. The Company can make no guarantee as to what is true and what is opinion.
- The Company’s event locations have been researched and chosen based on the fact that the locations have demonstrated perceived paranormal activity, witnessed by ourselves or others. The Company can provide no guarantee what activity may occur on an event, this may be minimal, or intense which may result in injury or damage to clothing as a result of paranormal activity. The Company accept no liability or responsibility for whatever activity may occur and no liability or responsibility if no activity occurs at all.
- Refund Policy
- Should you need to cancel your place at an event please give us as much notice as possible.
- If you cancel 3 weeks or more before the event, a full refund will be issued.
- If you cancel between 3 weeks and 1 week before the event we will refund the event amount less a £10 admin charge.
- If you cancel your place within 1 week of the event, no monies will be refunded, but an alternative event may be offered subject to availability.
- If you cancel your place within 48 hours of the event, no monies will be refunded.
- Reservation Deposits are non-refundable.
- By accepting and agreeing to The Company’s Terms and Conditions detailed above, it indemnifies promoters, organisers, and individuals from and against all legal liability in respect of claims, damages, costs, penalties, actions ,demands and proceedings of any kind of legal suits. Losses or expenses amounted in respect of or arising out of injury to or death of any person or persons or damage to any property arising from guests participation and involvement in the event or activity on premises pertaining to the event.
- The Terms and Conditions of The Company are non-negotiable, booking demonstrates acceptance of these terms and conditions and any contract into which they are incorporated shall be subject to English Law and the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of England and Wales.
